# ReelFork > ReelFork is a playable-drama platform. In a single branching story tree, creators mix video scenes, text-adventure (visual-novel style) scenes and interactive mini-apps — so one creation ships as both an interactive film and a text game. Studio is the creation side (AI-assisted script, storyboard, video generation, text-game authoring); Cinema is where audiences play, choose paths and reach multiple endings. ## What makes ReelFork different - **One story tree, two kinds of playable output.** Video nodes and text-adventure nodes are node types in the same tree and can be freely interleaved — a scene can be a generated video clip, and the next can be a visual-novel style sequence with backgrounds, character sprites, dialogue boxes, BGM and per-line voice. Text-game scenes do not go through the video generation pipeline, which is what makes mixed-format stories affordable. - **Characters that exist on their own.** A character card can be created in minutes (AI drafts the persona, world, speaking style, memory seed, opening line and sample dialogue; the creator edits and approves it) and does not have to belong to any drama. Characters have a three-layer memory — a recent-turns window, periodic structured write-back of long-term/relationship/goal memory, and plot memory limited to what the viewer has actually watched, so the character cannot spoil unseen episodes. - **Affinity, not just a paywall.** Chatting and gifts raise an affinity score across three tiers, which changes how a character speaks and unlocks bonus episodes that cannot be purchased — they open through the relationship only. - **Forking with revenue lineage.** A published interactive drama can be forked into a new project (unless the author disables it). Episodes carried over from the original pay out entirely to the original creator; the fork author's own episodes pay a lineage share to the immediate upstream creator, plus a share for referenced character cards. Settlement is automatic and reversible on refund. ## Core pages - [Home](https://www.reelfork.com/) - [Cinema](https://www.reelfork.com/player) - [Make a playable drama (for creators)](https://www.reelfork.com/home): Creator-side landing page — build a branching story tree that mixes video scenes, text-adventure (visual-novel style) nodes and mini-apps, then publish it to an audience that plays it, talks to the characters and can fork the plot. - [Public creator community](https://www.reelfork.com/studio/community) - [Demand Wall (marketplace)](https://www.reelfork.com/market): Viewers post commissions for interactive dramas and branching stories; creators pick up briefs and get paid for delivering them. - [Features](https://www.reelfork.com/features) - [Pricing](https://www.reelfork.com/pricing) - [Documentation](https://www.reelfork.com/docs) - [RFD format](https://www.reelfork.com/docs/rfd-format) ## Playable drama resources - [Interactive Video Maker](https://www.reelfork.com/resources/interactive-video-maker): Build branching interactive videos with AI-assisted scripts, storyboards, generated media, choices, and multiple endings in one browser workspace. - [AI Interactive Video Generator](https://www.reelfork.com/resources/ai-interactive-video-generator): Generate the scripts, shots, images and clips needed for a branching interactive video while keeping creators in control of story structure. - [How to Make an Interactive Video](https://www.reelfork.com/resources/how-to-make-an-interactive-video): Plan, build, test and publish an interactive video with meaningful choices and multiple endings using a repeatable production process. - [Branching Video Guide](https://www.reelfork.com/resources/branching-video-guide): Learn how to design branching video structures that stay understandable, testable and emotionally meaningful as the number of choices grows. - [Interactive Video Examples](https://www.reelfork.com/resources/interactive-video-examples): Explore useful interactive video patterns for dramas, education, marketing and creator workflows, with guidance on when each pattern works. - [Choose Your Own Adventure Video Maker](https://www.reelfork.com/resources/choose-your-own-adventure-video-maker): Create choose-your-own-adventure videos with branching choices, persistent story state and multiple endings—without writing application code. ## Tutorials - [Tutorial center](https://www.reelfork.com/tutorials): Hands-on tutorials from ReelFork creators — each one walks through building a finished interactive piece step by step. - [ReelFork Studio Complete Guide](https://www.reelfork.com/tutorials/guide): Full reference covering project setup, AI creation, branching stories, video editing, and publishing. ## Blog - [The AI content traffic myth broke. Where did the money go?](https://www.reelfork.com/blog/ai-idol-ip-economy): Payouts per 10K views fell from nearly 100 yuan to 5–10. Forty-two percent of active studios disappeared in months. Yet on the same playing field, people building character IP are doing fine.
